TITLE:  Facilitator of Recruitment & Retention

SUPERVISOR:  Executive Director of Human Resources

 

JOB SUMMARY:  The primary responsibility of the Facilitator of  Recruitment & Retention is to advance recruitment and retention efforts in collaboration with district administrators through the implementation of the district’s strategic recruitment and retention plan in order to attract and retain highly qualified candidates for all employee groups.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

 

 

  • Utilize social media, including university job boards, LinkedIn, Facebook, and diverse innovation technology resources to manage recruitment processes.
  • Advise all prospective employees regarding job postings, background information about the school district, and the interview and hiring procedures.
  • Seek out qualified individuals to apply for positions in the district.
  • Develop and implement all recruitment and retention practices through an equity lens and a dedication to increasing the diversity of our staff population.
  • Champion the Grow Our Own program to develop employee and student group pipelines through research, planning, presentations, data and tracking, and clerical duties.
  • Work closely with principals and directors in determining personnel needs and filling vacancies with qualified applicants.
  • Assist in planning, preparation, and implementing orientations for new hires throughout the school year, as well as New Employee Orientation in August for all employee groups.
  • Support administrators with ongoing professional development for all employee groups.
  • Build and enrich relationships with colleges, universities, individuals, and community partners.
  • Actively research and pursue opportunities to make presentations and attend events at colleges, universities, and local organizations.
  • Advise student teachers regarding hiring procedures and regulations and develop and implement recruiting methods to gain their employment.
  • Maintain and review recruitment budget reports.
  • Manage and develop all recruitment and career fairs, including local and state-wide colleges and universities as well as district-hosted job fairs.
  • Develop updated and new brochures, website features, videos, and other forms of media for recruiting and positive imaging of the district.
  • Research, develop, and support retention initiatives.
  • Cross-train on other Human Resources departmental roles with the Director of Human Resources to assist colleagues as needed.
  • Confer with other department colleagues and assist them with Human Resources duties as directed.
  • Perform any and all additional duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor Degree in Education

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of three years certified teaching experience.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with the public
  • Ability to handle conflict in a productive manner
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in regard to student and personnel records
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle interruptions
  • Strong public relations skills and ability to build relationships with people from diverse backgrounds

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Modified teacher contract.

 

 

EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation.
